What is Freedom In Christ?
Christians can be held back by baggage from the past. They know that Jesus meant it when He said He would set them free but somehow they don't seem to be able to connect with that truth in practice.
Freedom in Christ is there to help Christians resolve these issues by understanding the truth about their identity in Christ and the spiritual battle they are in.
Our approach first helps people grasp all that happened the moment they became Christians: who we are in Christ; the truth of God's unconditional love; why there is no condemnation; why we don't have to languish in cycles of sin, negative thinking and hopelessness.
But good teaching on its own is not enough. Although the key to freedom is knowing the truth (John 8:32), simply telling people the truth doesn't mean that they really know it. We also have a kind and gentle ministry process to help people repent of past sin and resist the devil. For many this "clearing out of rubbish" is the key to the teaching falling into place.

Who is Freedom In Christ For?
Typically, people that have already done The Alpha Course and want to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith further do this course. Although, this is not a rule set in stone, we do recommend that if you're not a Christian already, The Alpha Course is a better course to begin with.
How does Freedom In Christ work?
Each session begins with a meal in the main hall of our church building and then we separate from the Alpha group into the back hall for our teaching.
This course will encourage you to think about the areas that you find difficult and helps you use God's truth to set you free from them.
There is no official charge for attending the Alpha course, although a contribution towards the food is suggested.
